We are taking a break from our regular content this week to offer listeners a special treat. In March of 2019 I had the honor of hosting a panel discussion with organizers of the legendary Minneapolis chapter of Anti-Racist Action (ARA). In the 1980's a multi-racial skin head crew in South Minneapolis named The Baldies took it upon themselves to shut down attempts by neo-nazis to organize in the Twin Cities Metal and Punk Scenes. The efforts of The Baldies grew into Anti-Racist Action; one of the first post WW2 Anti-Fascist formations in the United States that kept the streets of the Twin Cities safe from white supremacists and sparked chapters of ARA to pop up across the nation. This panel is full of front line history and battle won wisdom for Anti-Racists to build on today. Huge respect to our panelists and all Anti-Racist/Anti-Fascists across the globe fighting for peace and justice. We will return to the Upper Harbor Terminal next week with the final episode of season 1 of the Money Power Land Solidarity podcast.
